I've been looking for this firmware update, on my G8. Worked great, format USB to fat32, open zip file and drag image file into USB stick, unplug your USB stick from computer and connect it to the service USB port on monitor, then go to update on your monitors menu, press ok and then you are done :)

The monitor is nowhere to be found on Samsung's website, for my region, the US. I found the monitor on the /UK version of the website and looked at the firmware update available.
Edit: News Flash - I called Samsung and described the issue asking for a firmware update. Samsung send my Neo G7 to repair. The End was that the panel has a defect and this panel isn't produced anymore, so no repair. I will get my money back direct from Samsung. Typical Samsung problem, delivering with defect panels.
Didn't realize I was messing with the settings for a 3.5mm audio jack the whole time. lol. DP on PC does sound without any issue and so did NVIDIA's implementation of DVI at the end up you no longer had to add that little cable from GPU to Soundcard/Mobo since then DP/HDMI took over. Plug your USB into the SERVICE USB port on the G9. Make sure your monitor is also using the USB wire to your PC. PC will detect the USB Stick. Format it normally through right click and into exfat (larger usb) or fat32 (smaller) Open the Firmware EXE and unpack it into the USB stick.
