AoC is right around the corner. I'll be playing AoC when it launches. But BDO has very slow progression. The progression is pretty fair as long as you don't enhance your own gear.

Most probably Maehwa, Lahn, Ninja, Kunoichi are also great gatherers. For bartering, Lahn is the best as she can easily reach the wharf managers by flying over the parking boats. For fishing, any character with a high number of inventory slots is fine. For the rest of the lifeskills all the classes are (almost) equally fine.
