iam still playing ME1 but was just wondering in which ME game can we cure the genophage and is there any side effects that'll come back to bite me if i do cure it. You can easily cure the genofage in ME3, however if you want to get the best ending (hints below, watch on your own risk): - ME1: keep Wrex alive. - ME2: keep Melon's data.Cure the Genophage and unleash the full might of Krogan wrath upon those filthy elitist Salarian scum. Once they've weakened each other, you can finish them off. With Wrex alive, and Maelon's Data saved, I justified curing the genophage as a renegade because the Krogan are very similar to my Shepard's personality.

Whether it's bad or not depends on what else you've done. Curing the Genophage before disarming the bomb won't necessarily affect anything. However, you can only complete a maximum of 2 other missions after rescuing the Turian platoon or the bomb will go off and cost you a significant chunk of Krogan war assets.What I mean is, in order to do the cure mission either Wrex must already be dead since Virmire or Mordin will have to die in the explosion. Both can’t survive. However, if the Synthesis ending automatically cures the Genophage…then Wrex and Mordin would live. That is…if the cure mission doesn’t have to be completed.This does not change even when Wrex and Eve are both alive. Eve herself states that Wrex may end up bending to pressures from the rest of the krogan clans and seek revenge for the genophage.
